Danyal Wakeel, who graduated from Mohammad Ali Jinnah University Karachi, holds certifications on different detailed diverse topics such as The Addict Brain from Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia, Addiction Treatment: Clinical Skills for Healthcare Providers from Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut, and The Science of Well-Being from Yale University, etc. Currently working as a psychologist and counselor at Willing Ways Clifton Karachi, In Willing Ways he facilitates Motivational and discussion-based lectures, Conducting Family Sessions, and one-to-one sessions with patients suffering from Addiction Disease.
He is also an official member of the American Psychological Association and the Australian & New Zealand Mental Health Association. He worked with children with special needs at (the Dar ul Sukun Head Office) for about a month and a half, also had the pleasure to mentally advocate at Dar ul Sukun Old Age Home for 1 month in Karachi. He gained almost 3 months of clinical exposure at the Dr. A. Q. Khan Center Institute of Behavioral Sciences (DUHS), where he gained exposure to people dealing with addiction and different psychotic diseases and also practically implemented psychological testing and multiple therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and person-centred Therapy, Danyal was hired as a student intern at Kazim Trust, best known for helping individuals with Neurodevelopmental Disorders such as ADHD, Autism, Learning Disabilities and Intellectual Disability where he gained insight about child psychology and parenting through practical work.
